To mark the launch of this year’s new calls for proposals under the European LIFE program, the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) has organized a series of information sessions to help potential applicants prepare their proposals.
This event will be streamed from April 28 to 30, 2026, just a few days after the official publication of the new calls, scheduled for April 21 via the European Commission’s Funding & Tenders portal.
During these sessions, the available funding opportunities will be presented in detail, along with LIFE’s strategic priorities for 2026. It is worth noting that this is the European Union’s main financial instrument for the environment and climate action, with a total budget of over 5.4 billion euros for the 2021–2027 period.
These online sessions will support innovative projects that contribute to the implementation of European policies in areas such as biodiversity protection, the circular economy, the energy transition, and climate resilience. Participants will receive practical guidance on the application process and evaluation criteria. They will also be able to interact directly with program experts during dedicated Q&A sessions.
These grants are open to public administrations, companies, universities, research centers, and non-profit organizations, so applications may be submitted individually or as part of a consortium. You can now register for the Info Days via this link, where the agenda for each session is also available.
On this occasion, the LIFE program has also set up a matchmaking opportunity to help build networks of contacts and partners. The option to schedule online meetings with organizations promoting sustainable and eco-friendly initiatives is also now available. More information here.
