On February 24, the European Commission will hold an information session on the new Horizon Europe work program, specifically on the budget allocation for calls for proposals linked to the New Bauhaus initiative.
This is the second year of implementation of the NEB Facility funding tool, which continues to support innovative projects that contribute to the development of the European Green Deal and the Clean Industrial Deal.
The proposals expected by the EC must, of course, be characterized by the NEB values of Sustainability, Beauty, and Inclusion, but in a much deeper way: the transformation of neighborhoods into coexistence and respect for nature, as well as for the cultural heritage that generates well-being, quality of life, and social cohesion.
As was the case in 2025, the new calls for proposals are organized into three areas:
- Destination 1 (Participation), focused on the human dimension, taking into account the social and cultural aspects of urban regeneration.
- Destination 2 (Urban Regeneration), which pays special attention to the physical dimension of the transformation of built environments, as well as environmental aspects.
- Destination 3 (Business and Entrepreneurship), focused on the economic and financial dimensions, which will explore innovative investment and business models.
However, this year the calls for proposals have changed their focus so that the proposals selected during 2025 and the new ones can complement each other and generate a truly dynamic and effective urban and ecological transition.
These calls, which will begin on May 5 and have a deadline of December 1, will be explained in detail by the European Commission’s New European Bauhaus representatives at a meeting open to all interested parties. More information is available at this link.
