This Wednesday, March 18, we invite you to the launch of the series “Habitar Salud – Bringing Together Professional Perspectives for People’s Care” at La Casa de la Arquitectura on Paseo de la Castellana in Madrid.
This initiative is organized by the CSCAE’s 2030 Observatory and the Medical Association through the Medical Alliance Against Climate Change, with the collaboration of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda, the Ministry of Health, and the Arquia Foundation.
It is the first session of a total of six that will address the improvement of built environments based not only on sustainability and bio-based solutions, but also on an inclusive and diverse approach that takes into account physical and emotional well-being.
This will be the perfect opportunity to learn about the benefits architecture can have on health. As advocated by the European Commission’s New European Bauhaus initiative, we must view construction and architectural renovation as tools for prevention and for improving quality of life.
The event, held in a hybrid format and also streamed live via this link, will begin at 10:00 a.m. with an institutional panel featuring Maite Verdú, Director General of Urban Agenda and Architecture at MIVAU; Estefanía Garcia, and the President of the CSCAE, Marta Vall-llossera, as well as the First Vice President of the OMC, María Isabel Moya.
It will continue with a discussion on the importance of health in the built environment and will conclude with the screening of a short film titled ¿Votamos? which will explore the relationships between well-being, architecture, and community.
