The 11th annual edition of Sustainable Places (SP2023) is a hybrid event (digital+presential), which will take place at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, from June 14 to 16, 2023.
This edition takes place in the framework of the New European Bauhaus. Sustainability goals and climate change objectives cannot be achieved without addressing buildings and the built environment at the building, district and city scale, including our transport and energy infrastructures. Sustainable Places showcases results from the EU’s Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe Framework Program through the participation of leading research and innovation projects. It is about designing, building and modernizing the places where we live and work in a more sustainable way.
SP2023 kicks off with a matchmaking session entitled “New European Bauhaus (NEB) & Built4People (B4P)”. Members of the B4P Stakeholder Community, European Construction, built environment and energy efficient building Technology Platform (ECTP) y World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) will be exposed to the European Commission’s NEB initiative, which connects the European Green Pact with the co-creation of a quality, sustainable and inclusive built environment.
In addition, the SP2023 program includes keynote sessions, technical sessions and workshops for disseminating research, conducting workshops, clustering EU projects and networking among stakeholders of all types.
