New Ignite NEB call for proposals, open until May 7

The NEB Community of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has launched a new call for proposals as part of its Ignite NEB program. The goal is to select host organizations to organize events and workshops aimed at generating innovative proposals at the local level.

Ultimately, the goal is to facilitate the development of projects at the local level by supporting public administrations, universities, research centers, consulting firms, or members of the associative sector willing to create and develop solutions aligned with the values of the New European Bauhaus in areas such as urban regeneration or the arts.

The organizations selected in this call will be responsible for organizing participatory events in a hackathon-style format, as well as cultural activities that bring together creative citizens and entrepreneurs to address local challenges. These events will include workshops and support and guidance processes, culminating in the selection of proposals that will move on to a subsequent incubation phase.

The incubation phase is expected to last approximately eight months, during which the selected teams will develop, prototype, and validate their solutions, with the goal of creating new initiatives, startups, or effective projects that have a real impact in their regions, based on sustainability, quality, and inclusion.

Each host may receive up to 52,000 euros for their work as a mentor and manager of proposals that align with the NEB’s thematic pillars: reconnecting with nature, restoring a sense of belonging, prioritizing the people and places that need it most, and promoting a long-term sustainable and circular approach.

The deadline for submitting applications is May 7, 2026. The implementation period will run from July 2026 to December 2027. Find more information here.
