NEB European Urban Initiative

The European Urban Initiative (EUI) is an instrument of the European Union’s Cohesion Policy (2021-2027) that provides funding and technical assistance to enable cities to experiment with, implement, and transfer new ways of addressing their urban challenges. Its main objective is to accelerate urban innovation and create projects that can become replicable models across Europe.

This search for innovative, sustainable, and inclusive urban solutions fits perfectly with the principles of the New European Bauhaus, leading us to see this call for proposals as another important opportunity to spread the NEB throughout Europe, as well as the provisions of the European Green Deal on green cities, energy transition, climate adaptation, and the circular economy. In Spain, four inspiring proposals stand out, promoted in Murcia, Barcelona, Valencia, and Madrid.
