Promoted by the City Council of Fuenlabrada (Madrid), this project was recognized by the European Commission in 2023 as part of the first call for proposals for the European Urban Initiative (EUI).
It proposes a profoundly transformative urban intervention: the conversion of a disused school into an intergenerational housing complex, designed for older and younger people, with protected prices and a strong social and community component.
The project, designed by the ENTRESITIO S.P.L. studio, is currently underway and represents a clear example of how the regeneration of built heritage can be linked to new forms of sustainable and inclusive coexistence.
