New European Bauhaus Laboratory: NEB Lab.

The New European Bauhaus will be supported in its implementation by the NEB Lab (New European Bauhaus Laboratory).

The European Commission will create the New European Bauhaus Lab to assist in the implementation of the New European Bauhaus. This lab will serve as a think tank and action group to co-create, prototype and test policy actions, tools and solutions to more easily transform the field with the goal of implementing the New European Bauhaus.

As the enabling infrastructure for the creation of the New European Bauhaus Lab is being developed, the European Commission has created four pillars or defining points of the NEB Lab:

The central element of this debate is how to correctly mark and recognize which projects are New European Bauhaus and which are not.

Funding is one of the main elements in the development of any new movement, and the New European Bauhaus is discussing the possibility of combining crowdfunding with public funding. In addition, ways are being sought to encourage private and external investors to fund New Bauhaus Europe projects.

The regulatory framework of the New European Bauhaus must support and help the development of the projects that will be created in the future, so discussions must be held to find the way to make this possible, finding the regulatory obstacles and pitfalls and finding the solution to overcome them.

Finally, it is important to measure the success that the New European Bauhaus is having, and the main measurements will be carried out in 2024 and 2030.

The European Commission will follow up the New European Bauhaus Lab through other actions involving the Commission itself, the European Parliament, the Committee of the Regions and other partners, in order to identify new areas for research and development through the NEB Lab and to detect new topics to explore and develop.
