CHallenge-driven Accessible Research-based Mobile European University.

CHARM-EU (Challenge-driven, Accessible, Research-Based and Mobile European University) comprising five research-based universities (University of Barcelona, Trinity College Dublin, Utrecht University, Eötvös Loránd University Budapest and University of Montpellier) are co-creating a European University aligned with the sustainable development goals. CHARM-EU’s vision is to have an inclusive innovative university model which embraces the change to break down borders linking local & global solutions around the challenges linked to ‘Reconciling Humanity with the planet’. The multifunctional mission and its broad geographical reach provides an ability to be a strong advocate of the NEB. Engagement will follow a 3 phased approach of promotion of and conversation around the Bauhaus principles firstly at a member level, secondly at network level through CHARM-EU and its aligned projects and thirdly beyond our alliance through stakeholder engagement with our external associate members, our Knowledge Creation Team members which include business and society stakeholders (300+ members), and finally through our informal and formal networks and outreach activities. We see connections between the NEB across the EU policy base in terms of the ERA, EEA, Green Deal, Skills Agenda and Equality agenda, all of which are relevant to CHARM-EU and are also interested in influencing the NEB concept itself based on our community experience.

CHARM-EU (Challenge-driven, Accessible, Research-Based and Mobile European University) is an initiative formed by five research-based universities (University of Barcelona, Trinity College Dublin, Utrecht University, Eötvös Loránd University Budapest and University of Montpellier) for the co-creation of a European University aligned with the European Values and the sustainable development goals (SDGs).
