Fundación Arquitectura Contemporánea.

The Foundation for Contemporary Architecture was established in 2002 as an initiative of a group of professionals interested in promoting contemporary architecture. The nature of the foundation is, therefore, purely private, although its attitude is one of clear commitment to the public dissemination of an activity which exerts a decisive influence over the living conditions of the population. The headquarters of the Foundation for Contemporary Architecture is located in Cordoba, a city that has encouraged a remarkable relationship between city and Contemporary Architecture. However, the activities of the Foundation are in national and international levels, without geographic limitation, and according to the thematic, the aim is to promote the establishment of the broadest posible cultural debate.

The Foundation promoted there are three lines of activities relating to contemporary architecture: CREATION The Foundation as an organization dedicated to the promotion of contemporary architecture, promotes activities concentrated in time that constitute a contribution to the debate discipline. Examples include courses, seminars, workshops, conferences and forums organized. DISSEMINATION In order to blur the boundary between society and contemporary architectural culture, conferences, exhibitions and conferences are designed for a lay audience. The collection «Architectural Itineraries» is mostly editorial input. RESEARCH Trying to reconcile and strengthen the efforts of individuals and public and private institutions in contemporary architecture and, in some cases, act as a supplementary tool for them. Within this line of action are grants and reports.
