Zaragoza City of Knowledge Foundation (FZC) born in 2004 to create and promote knowledge and support the scientific, institutional, entrepreneurial, civic and artistic fabric of the city of Zaragoza as a leading city at the international context, contributing to open up entrepreneurship and the extension of the opportunities offered by information and communication technology to all citizens. FZC’s contribution to the New European Bauhaus relies on its cultural and smart city binomial, seeking to revitalise the human scale city by emerging the potential of the street, bringing value to the local commerce via architecture, contemporary art, technology and innovative hybrid proposals of digital art and culture both in event and long term intervention actions.

FZC’s founded statutes promotes Knowledge Society in Zaragoza as a leading city at the international context, contributing to open up entrepreneurship and communication technology to all citizens. FZC develops its activities in Etopia, a 16 000 Sq. m centre for creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship in the digital city.
Key activities:
FZC’s activities rely on thematic and transversal lines, being the first ones: Digital City (Urban Data Analysis and representation), Educational Innovation, Art and Technology (Programs), Entrepreneurship (linked to Smart and Sustainable Communities), employment and business innovation, and Citizen Science. Transversal activities mainly rely on audience development, mediation and communication, partnership development and fundraising.
