The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma) participated in the first New European Bauhaus Festival, held in Brussels from June 9 to 12, 2022, through the organization of a side event that was part of the official program of the festival.
The event was called “A vision from Spain” and was promoted by the Director General of Urban Agenda and Architecture, Iñaqui Carnicero, as National Contact Point of the aforementioned New Bauhaus initiative.
The event was configured as an exhibition of graphic documents, design pieces, models, prototypes and audiovisual material, which made it possible to showcase the most inspiring projects carried out in Spain in relation to the New European Bauhaus.
The exhibition space was located in the Gare Maritime building in Brussels where two of the main elements of the Festival also took place: the Forum and the Fair; thanks to this strategic location it was visited by a large number of public related to the initiative. Among the visitors who came to see this space, the two European Commissioners who are promoting the New Bauhaus project, the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Mariya Gabriel, and the Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Elisa Ferreira, stood out.
Within the event itself, the Architecture Quality Law was presented, whose approval as a law in the Senate coincided temporarily with the celebration of the event.
