Last April 20, 2022, in the European Parliament, took place the public hearing of presentation of the erasure of information of the New European Bauhaus. This was drafted by co-rapporteurs Christian Ehler (ITRE) and Marcos Ros Sempere (CULT) in response to the Communication from the European Commission to the European Parliament, the Council, the European Economic and Social Committee and the Committee of the Regions of September 15, 2021.

During this public hearing, the President of the European Commission expressed the importance of the New European Bauhaus in the future development of Europe. It was at this moment when she highlighted the actions of some member countries, highlighting the one carried out by the Directorate General of Urban Agenda and Architecture.

The Director General of the Urban Agenda and Architecture, Iñaqui Carnicero, also participated in this public hearing of the draft as an expert, to present his vision of the initiative. In his speech, the director general gave as an example of concreteness and financing, the development of actions carried out in Spain, such as the Architecture Quality Law mentioned by President Ursula von der Leyen.
