Call for regenerative communities for associations and NGOs

ECOLISE, the European Network of Community Initiatives on Climate Change and Sustainability, co-funded by the European Commission, launched a new call for proposals in November to select up to 50 Pathfinder Communities.

These are small local communities, associations, or initiatives in their early stages that are working on ecological transition, climate action, local regeneration, social justice, and community participation.

The beneficiaries of this call will receive a grant of €4,000, in addition to training, technical support, networking opportunities, and support to connect with other European communities not only in Spain, but also in Portugal, France, Croatia, and Finland.

This online selection process, open until January 26, 2026, includes the submission of a form requiring the work plan, project description, proposal objectives, team members involved, and other documents, all detailed on the RCF or Regenerative Communities Fund website.

This European fund was designed in 2024 to strengthen responses led by urban and rural communities to the growing climate and ecological crisis, as well as to foster their sense of belonging to the built environment.

ECOLISE members will particularly value the inclusion of vulnerable groups, as well as the participatory approach that encourages local communities to be the real protagonists, as advocated by the New European Bauhaus: learning, exchanging, and developing skills together.
